Go down
Down beneath the black water
Go down
Sleep beneath the salt blue
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Someday, Someday
I’ll lay by you
The wind
filled the sails as we wandered
The spray
From the waves cleansed our sins
I gave
up my name to be with you
Someday, Someday
I’ll sleep there too
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Go down
Sleep beneath the salt blue
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Someday, Someday
I’ll lay by you
The sound
Of the cannon ball roaring
The light
From the fire fills the night
The sound
As the mast starts to splinter
Someday, Someday
They’ll claim me too
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Go down
Sleep beneath the salt blue
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Someday, Someday
I’ll lay by you
My heart
starts to bleed as I see it
So dark
is the blood from your chest
you sank
to sleep in that black water
Someday, Someday
I’ll follow you
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Go down
Sleep beneath the salt blue
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Someday, Someday
I’ll lay by you
Dear Love
How I wish you could see her
Her smile
It reminds me of you
I pray
That Gods strength will be with her
Someday, Someday
They’ll claim me too
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Go down
Sleep beneath the salt blue
Go down
Down beneath the black water
Someday, Someday
I’ll lay by you
Sweet child
the day will come dawning
The wind
Will drive firth your sails
Until
The black waves will call you
Someday Someday
They’ll claim you too
Down beneath the black water
Go down
Sleep beneath the salt blue
Go down
Down beneath the black water

A Return
Her hands descend
deep into old pockets,
casting back darkness
from forlorn talismans.
She returns! Always
a surprise inside to witness
her divine whorls reappearing,
her heartbeat, the drum therein, the light!
A judgement and resurrection,
scrolls, bones and veils rattled up
called forward from some grave.
Coins cross eyes and old life breathes new.
This springtime mantle. Oh, yes!
Reclamation! Her former self lifts
those bright, timeless charms
that were and are and will again to be.

I poured memories into a teacup
to soak my soul

with reminiscent sips from the past

I wove your memory
inside my mind just like the way
ivy vines used to curl up
against the terracotta walls of your home
I cried our moments together
onto orchard petals
like puddles of dew drops
in the frigid morning hours
There is something so reminiscent
to curl up on patches of green grass
among wilting daisies and earthy soil
- it makes me think of you
And the thought of you
has always comforted my lilac heart
It would complete
this newly turned garden of mine
But
as my thorny reality

So haunting, eerie, even morbid...simply lovely Once again I want to read it over and over again. For some reason I first thought of Edgar Allen Poe's Annabelle Lee poem. I'm not really sure why because really, they aren't that similar. I guess they share a certain quality? but either way, this is beautiful, and you definitely have a new watcher!
